    The Group sells pre-owned cars through the following key brands; Mototechna, AAA AUTO, AUTO DISKONT and, most recently, Driverama, an e-commerce platform for buying and selling pre-owned cars in Western Europe. The Group’s fifth brand is RESULMATIC, a proprietary software for better sourcing and selling used cars.

Nearly 130 companies and entrepreneurs discussed business in Prague and Central Bohemia at Mototechna

Prague, 15 February 2018 At the Regional Meeting for Major Business Topics and Entrepreneurs from Central Bohemia and Prague, prepared by the CZECH TOP 100 Association, nearly 130 representatives of companies and individual entrepreneurs gathered from both regions. The host of the meeting was the dealer of lightly used cars, Mototechna, a member of the AAA AUTO group. Since the most important representatives of the automotive sector reside in Central Bohemia and Prague, the key topic was company mobility.

Among the key speakers were Jitka Srpová, the Head of the Department of Business Administration at the University of Economics, Petr Vaneček, Chief Operations Officer of AAA AUTO, Stanislav Gálik, Executive Director of the AuresLab Innovation Laboratory, Vendula Čechová, Manager from PwC Czech Republic, Jan Skalický, Manager from UniCredit Leasing CZ, Jitka Kulhánková, Manager of Expense Reduction Analysts, Jana Kaňovská, Product Manager at Bisnode Czech Republic, Lukáš Kvapil, Chairman of the Football League Association, Dušan Svoboda, and Rally Dakar competitor, holder of the Fair Play award and Mototechna Brand Ambassador. Jan Struž, Chairman of the CZECH TOP 100 Association, opened and moderated the event.

Petr Vaněček, Chief Operations Officer of AAA AUTO, demonstrated the economic potential of the entire sector on data obtained from the volume of used cars traded annually on the domestic market. “We want to promote to the lay and business communities the used car sector as an important economic factor, an economic force, a major employer and partner for B2B. Our company had a turnover of more than thirteen billion crowns in 2016 and employs over 2,000 people selling nearly 75,000 cars per year in the Central Europe region. The annual results of the CZECH TOP 100 rankings show that with these results, we are among the top fifty largest companies in the Czech Republic, “said Vaněček.

Stanislav Gálik, Executive Director of the AuresLab Innovation Laboratory, which specialises in innovations within the Mototechna brand, approached the situation on the slightly used car market. Dealers on the market in the Czech Republic offered a total of 79,583 slightly used cars aged under two years last year. Their offer thereby increased year-on-year by 1.8 per cent across the entire market. “In 2017, people from Mototechna took 11% more cars than in 2016. We don’t just sell cars, we also want customers to perceive us as a software and technology company, which is always a step ahead of the rest of the market. We want to create technological and digital innovations, to ensure a simple, fast and convenient way to purchase cars,” revealed Gálik.

Jan Skalický, Manager for Key Customers at UniCredit Leasing CZ, approached the development and trends in leasing of passenger cars in the Czech Republic and focused on the advantages and specifics of individual financial products: “The shared economy will bring gradual changes in the approach to the acquisition of a private or company car. Clients perceive cars more as a service than property and want to enjoy carefree driving instead of the worries related to owning a car and its maintenance.“

The company, Bisnode Czech Republic, has introduced news in its solutions for verifying business partners and the effectiveness of business relationships. As Sales Manager, Zdeněk Honek, says: “Effectiveness, speed and digitisation are frequently used terms today. We help our customers identify high-risk business partners, that are not worth working with, and we thus protect them from potential claims. Similarly, thanks to advanced tools, we are also capable of finding new business opportunities for our clients in the Czech Republic, in Slovakia, but also at the other end of the world.“

Lukáš Kvapil, Chairman of the Football League Association, Dušan Svoboda, and Mototechna Brand Ambassador, Dakar competitor and holder of the Fair Play award, appeared as a member of the media team in the 2018 Dakar Rally with a minimally modified vehicle from Mototechna. At the conclusion, all the guests could take a ride in luxury vehicles from Mototechna, such as a Porsche Panamera, Range Rover or Mercedes-Benz GLE coupé or cheer on the Czech hockey team during its first match with Korea at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

According to a survey of nostalgic brands published by the MÉDEA RESEARCH Company in 2017, Mototechna is the fourth best-known “retro” brand in this country overall, with 89% awareness and 87% of the population perceives Mototechna as a traditional Czech brand and nearly 60% consider it very trustworthy. According to the survey this corresponds with 60% of the population's experience with the brand, which is generally very positive.
